About the event

You are invited to join us for a workshop led by Ben Howard,  an accomplished Zen writer and an internationally admired poet, who is well-known and beloved to the OMC community.

The practice of focusing on “one thing at a time” and achieving a state of one-pointed concentration are essential aspects of Zen. During this retreat, we will examine the similarities between modern Western thing-poems that focus on a single object and Zen contemplation.

Activities will include concentrative meditations and the creation of original verse and prose. Both beginners and experienced practitioners are warmly invited to join.
