Join us to celebrate Earth Day & Arbor Day with a talk by Marcus Rosten, WNY Wildway Director for the WNY Land Conservancy, and a nature walk. Stay for tree planting afterwards. Free event. Advance registration requested.

About the event

Celebrate Earth Day with us. Our guest speaker will be Marcus Rosten, the WNY Wildway Director at the WNY Land Conservancy. He will talk about his work protecting the WNY Wildway, a long-term project to protect and connect the largest of our region's remaining forests. The Wildway will connect the vast forests of northern Pennsylvania to the Great lakes, through to the Finger Lakes, the Adirondacks, and beyond. It will form part of the Eastern Wildway which runs all the way from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico. The Wildway will allow plants and animals to roam across the land as they once did, to move as climate changes, and to expand their ranges and ensure their survival. He will also address the impact of climate change.


After the talk, we will take a guided nature walk in Windfall Gardens, an 11-acre reserve at OMC. Please wear appropriate shoes and jackets. It…
