LIVE STREAMING MEDITATION NOON 12:15 p.m. THIS THURSDAY, April 30

Compassionate Body Scan Meditation with Max Jensen

Join us on Thursday (Apr 30th), 12:15 PM,  when Max Jensen offers a livestream Compassionate Body Scan Meditation at www.facebook.com/SouthernTierSangha.Thich Nhat Hanh observes: “Anything that can help us wake up is part of the Dharmakaya (the Dharma body) — trees, grass, birds, human beings, and so on. When I hear a bird sing, if I return deeply to myself and breathe and smile, that bird reveals the Buddha’s Dharma body. People who are awake can hear the voice Dharma being preached in a pebble, a bamboo, or the cry of a baby. Anything can be the voice of the Dharma if you are awake.”

Our Noble Hearts with Rich Reilly

This Thursday, April 9, Southern Tier Sangha continues its series of half-hour guided meditations with “Our Noble Hearts” presented by Richard Reilly.

Rich will begin with Jack Kornfield’s recent letter in response to the coronavirus pandemic and then offer a loving-kindness meditation.

All are warmly invited to participate — no prior experience or special postures are required. Join us live this Thursday at 12:15PM at www.facebook.com/SouthernTierSangha, or view the posted video at a later time.

“Sit quietly . . . and ask your heart: what is my best intention, my most noble aspiration for this difficult time?

Your heart will answer. Let this vow become your North Star. Whenever you feel lost, remember and it will remind you what matters.”

~~Jack Kornfield, “The Bodhisattva Response to Coronavirus”
